Storytelling in Adult Education
I see the faces of adults light up when they listen to my stories in English. For a short time, busy lives and worries are put aside as we visit different landscapes and travel with the characters. Stories rise above language barriers and rekindle the spark of a distant memory of sitting together around the ancestral fire, they help us connect to ourselves, our clan and to the mysteries of life.
I have seen this happen in most of the adult education centres and official language schools I’ve visited from the Basque country in the North of Spain to Ceuta and Melilla in the South.
All my stories can be adapted for students with a pre-intermediate level of English upwards.

My Celtic World

Technical Chracteristics:
Duration: 60 minutes (aprox.).
Public: Adults.
Space: A large room that is available to set up one hour before the show starts.
Visit a Celtic world full of legends, riddles and secrets from these green, mysterious lands. Listen to stories about ancient, wise trees and dare to enter a haunted cemetery where a giant ghost lives.
Perhaps you’ll hear a story about the Selkies or be taken to the legendary island of Tir-na-Og. And finish off by singing the most famous Scottish poem of all times.
